Surely I am not the only one who loves to get input from others regarding possible menus, not only for special occasions but for normal, every day meals as well. I will offer suggestions and share what has worked for holidays, parties and times when I wanted something quick and easy to put on the table.

Menu Plan for the WEEK??? (I can see you rolling your eyes…)
It isn’t as difficult as it sounds AND once you get in the habit of doing it you will realize a savings of time AND money!!!
It is important for me to ensure my family has a balanced, healthy diet so fast food and take-out aren’t options if we can help it! I actually enjoy sitting down on Sunday, looking at the weather forecast for the week, and deciding on dinner menus for the upcoming week.
During the cooler months, if it is gonna be pretty and warmer than usual, the menu for that day will include a grilled item giving us the opportunity to spend a little ‘down time’ out by the barbie while our food is cooking.
If cold weather is coming up, you gotta know that I am gonna be fixing a warm, comfort food such as chili or soup.
By making this effort, I have a plan even though it may change throughout the week…just like the weather. 😉 This also affords me the opportunity to make my grocery list, as well as pull coupons (yes, I am one of those crazy women walking down the aisle going through her coupons…sorry!).
Here ya go, my plan for March 5 – March 11, 2012:
Monday – Venison Chili with Beans, Cornbread (yep, it is gonna be chilly here in the Piedmont per the weatherman – with possibility of flurries)
Tuesday – Loaded Baked Potato, Salad with all the fixins’ (try to get in veggie night at least one time per week)
Wednesday – Grilled Mahi Mahi w/ Lemon & Capers, Orzo, Roasted Asparagus
Thursday – Coconut Chicken Fingers served over a bed of baby greens with Coconut Lemon Vinagrette
Friday – Bison Burgers, Sweet Potato Fries
Saturday – L/O (Leftovers)
Sunday – Pork Loin (cooked in the Infrared Cooker), Rice Casserole, Sauteed Greens w/ garlic, Baked Apples
And there you have it…my plan for the week!
See something that intrigues you? Want a recipe? Post a comment or send me an email and I will be more than happy to share!!!
Well, time to go pull a coupon or two…
